Fortyeight opts for Sony DWX
16-12-2013When Fortyeight.tv was looking for a new wireless system, he made a list of what the ideal HF system should be like: a reliable digital system with a reasonable latency, without compressing or expanding the audio. An AES-EBU output was an obvious request as this is the standard in the audio industry.
The Sony DWX system proved to be the perfect summary of their demands: “This system is the ideal answer to all our requests and can easily be integrated into our d&b PA system and collaborate with our DiGiCo mixing consoles. “
“From the transmitter input until the power amplifier output, the signal remains in the digital domain with very little latency and a common sync, thanks to the word clock.”
The 8-channel Fortyeight system bought is at this moment in preproduction for the performance of “Sois belge et tais toi” and will go on tour throughout Belgium for 65 shows and 39000 spectators.
The system was first used last week and the opinions were unanimous: transparent, dynamic, reliable were the arguments heard from the artists as well as from the technicians.
