Amptec expands immersive portfolio with Areal
26-02-2026Amptec has entered into a distribution agreement for the Benelux with Belgian developer Areal. The partnership marks the start of Areal’s international expansion and further strengthens Amptec’s position as a specialist in immersive audio solutions.

Areal develops hardware and software solutions designed to integrate immersive audio seamlessly into everyday production environments and fixed installations. Its Upmix Engine transforms stereo content into multi-speaker playback, enabling users to maintain existing workflows while maximizing the potential of their loudspeaker setups. After more than five years of development and extensive real-world testing — including multiple editions of Tomorrowland — the technology is now ready for commercial launch.
Amptec will actively introduce Areal to its extensive professional network across the Benelux region. Industry professionals can experience the Upmix Engine firsthand in Amptec’s demo facilities, where the technology is showcased within realistic system configurations.
