d&b CCL for optimal sound in OLT Rivierenhof
10-10-2025The OLT Rivierenhof in Deurne has become one of the first open-air venues worldwide to install a d&b audiotechnik CCL system. Splendit will handle sound production at the iconic amphitheater for four summers, ensuring a solution that respects strict noise regulations while delivering a powerful audience experience.
“Our mission is to create the best possible listening environment for both artists and audiences,” says Wouter Vekeman, technical coordinator at OLT. “That’s not easy, given the strict sound norms in place and the unique shape of our arena. With CCL we’ve found the perfect balance: higher quality and more consistent coverage inside the theater, while minimizing impact on the surrounding park.”
The compact cardioid line-array design of the CCL system directs sound precisely towards the audience, reducing unwanted spill outside the venue. Splendit and Amptec worked closely with d&b to create a configuration tailored to the amphitheater’s geometry, making full use of CCL’s wide dispersion options.
“The result is stunning,” Vekeman continues. “Visitors across the entire arena now enjoy the same clarity and warmth, from the front rows to the top ring. At the same time, the sound impact on the environment is lower than ever. Thanks to this system, we can keep raising the bar for live music, while keeping the magic of our beloved OLT.”
