Soundscape mimics church acoustics in PAARD
08-12-2024During the HINK Festival in the Grote Zaal of Paard, The Hague, Mannenbroeders - the unique musical project of Colin van Eeckhout and Tonnie Dieleman - brought their distinctive, penetrating sound to life with the help of d&b Soundscape. The band set the condition that the room reproduction should be an exact representation of their album, which was recorded at the Doopsgezinde Kerk in Middelburg.
Thanks to the advanced Soundscape technology, this characteristic reverb and spatiality was faithfully recreated, fully immersing the audience in the unique atmosphere of the album. Visitors experienced the sound as immersive, with a clarity and depth that enhanced the essence of Mannenbroeders' music. Surround speakers ensured an even distribution of sound throughout the venue, with no audible transitions. Extra-high ‘shower’ speakers added even more depth, while the Cathedral preset in the system provided rich, natural reverberation that perfectly mimicked the acoustics of a church.
