The PDX520 features a cardioid polar pattern that improves isolation even in less-than-ideal acoustic environments. Its default gain level eliminates the need for preamp boosts or cloud lifters. Additionally, the microphone includes two 2-position switches that allow users to quickly adjust the sound by modifying the low cut and presence boost, thereby reducing post- production work.
The unique design takes inspiration from the AUDIX PDX720, featuring an internal vibration dampening system for the capsule, housed in a solid metal body with integrated attachment arm for both microphone stand and XLR connector.
