20-02-2023Heritage Audio, headquartered in Madrid, Spain, was born of the passion of one man for the classic vintage sound of the 1970s. Founded in 2011 after a decade of tinkering with old recording equipment, Heritage Audio is dedicated to producing high quality, affordable recording equipment that makes the creation of vintage sound possible for today’s studios. Heritage Audio products are suitable for studios of all sizes and are very complementary to the rest of the Amptec brand portfolio.
Here’s a quick rundown of the latest releases:
Tubesessor
This is Heritage Audio’s take on the now virtually unobtainable classic blue-faced optical tube compressor. The new design vastly increases headroom and improves clarity and depth while the tube saturation section offers access to a whole new range of sounds and textures.
Motorcity EQ
Staying with the American Heritage range, the new Motorcity EQ is a must-have for all Motown fans. It is the world’s first reproduction of the holy grail of classic analogue EQs. Recreated from original Motown units owned by eight-time Grammy winning producer, mixdown artist, and innovative engineering genius Michael Brauer, Motorcity EQ features a fully passive equalisation circuit that is completely faithful to the original design to recreate the huge, punchy and warm signature sound that is as classic as the hits it helped to create.
Herchild
The Herchild tube-based Variable-Mu compressors (available in 660 or 670 versions) are faithful reproductions of the classic Fairchild compressors manufactured at the end of the ‘50s with some 21st century additions. Expect that wonderful lush, punchy, warm sound of the ‘60s and ‘70s with the comfort of working on up-to-date equipment.
Super 8
Super 8 is an 8-channel transformer with Class A mic preamps and premium A/D conversion. The compact, all-in-one design makes it easy to professionally capture mic, line or instrument signals, digitise them and send them to a DAW, ensuring perfect reproduction of classic analogue audio in a digital domain.
Lang PEQ-2
Finally, after over 6 decades, thanks to Heritage Audio, one of the most desired equalizers of all time is back! After recently acquiring the famous 1960s Pro Audio company LANG Electronics Inc… we’re proud to present the PEQ-2.
The huge, clear layout makes the PEQ-2 enjoyable to use and quick to dominate. Within no time you’ll be improving your tracks with very natural, musical frequency processing.
