Sony presents DWX Series 3rd Generation

Sony adds 3 new products to the existing line-up of DWX-N. Once again, Sony leads the pack with the release of the DWR-R03D 19” receiver, DWT-B03R compact beltpack and DWX-BC1 charger unit.
The impressive list of novelties include :
- 470-714MHz wideband 1U receiver, 148MHz wideband beltpack
- Dante® technology for audio over IP, and headphone bus
- Reliable operation using a new high dynamic range RF circuit
- HDR RF 4 antenna diversity reception system
- Smallest digital belt-pack with full RF remote control in the market, only 99 grams
- Lithium-ion battery technology for extended running time
- New charging system for belt-pack transmitter and lithium-ion battery, doubling as storage solution
- Automatic master-slave setup, frequency coordination
- 375kHz equal distance spacing
- New codec 4 with only 1,2ms total latency AD/DA
- AES 256 bit encryption

Wavetool choses Amptec as BeNeLux distributor
Wavetool is thé management software for large wireless setups, and offers realtime monitoring, visualisation and error detection for musicals, broadcast, theatre shows, etc.
Wavetool brings different wireless brands together in one Mac OSX environment, with multiple simultaneous user accounts and an additional iOS remote app, and offers a chat function and snapshot management.
The “snap, crackle and pop” algorithm detects broken microphones and cables before the talent goes onstage.
Supported brands are currently Sony DWX, Shure ULX-D and Axient, Wisycom, Sennheiser G3/2000/3000/6000 and Lectrosonics Venue 2.
Sony Wireless studio new features
Wireless studio version 4.51 is here, and it offers again some new features.
The most important new addition is in the RF Chart Grapher window. Users can now add up to 11 sub monitor windows, and have an instant overview of realtime RF A-B levels of 12 channels at once.
