Two Days of Live Election Coverage Powered by RTS
07-07-2026In mid-March, Studio040 delivered two days of live election coverage from the Parktheater in Eindhoven, covering both the debate and the results night. The productions combined on-site broadcasting with multiple live remote contributions across the region.
RTS as backbone of communication
An RTS intercom setup, built around an ODIN matrix and RVOC solutions, formed the backbone of communication between control room, field reporters and remote locations.
“Communication is everything in productions like this,” says Harm van Houten. “With RVOC and RVOC Edge, we could instantly connect everyone without barriers.”
Reporters received IFB and program audio via the RVOC app, along with live instructions from the control room. Three remote locations contributed live via 5G, while wireless camera operators stayed connected through ROAMEO.
“It gave us the flexibility to scale up quickly while maintaining full control,” Van Houten adds.
The result: smooth coordination across all locations and reliable, flexible live production throughout both broadcast days.
