De Walburg
In 2008, the local authorities of Hamont-Achel decided to purchase De Walburg, a perfectly preserved cinema built in the late ‘50ies. Next, this exceptional monument was equipped with all modern theater techniques without harming the authentic atmosphere of the venue. De Walburg, with its 400 seats, will be used for alternative film, smaller theater productions, standup comedy, etc.

Amptec installed two fixed E12’s on the balcony, mainly for cinema use. For the parterre, a mobile L-R system with a E12 top and a E15xsub was provided. Presets in the D6 amplifiers enable the user to switch easily between the different setups with the exact tuning of each setup.

Result: a mobile set for cinema and theatre in De Walburg which easily can be used for on location events.


De Posthoorn
This multi-purpose venue with room for 1300 visitors, has been thoroughly refurbished last years: stage, dressing rooms, bar, technical installations were taken on.
In the beginning of this year, the first steps to install a new PA system in De Posthoorn, mainly used for speech, were made when Amptec was contacted.

As speech intelligibility was priority number 1, we opted for a L-R system (one E12d for each side), supplemented with a delay set, for the rear part of the room (2 x E12). Both the PA installation as the signal wiring allow for a very flexible functioning, for all types of productions.

The E12’s of d&b audiotechnik were the ideal solution: small multipurpose loudspeakers with enough power for the speech and music applications of both venues.
