The Gallo-Romeins Museum is historically grown out of research in and around the Roman city Atuatuca Tungrorum. Thanks to the concept of the exposition, the visitors get insight in the development of societies of more than 500,000 years ago until the early Middle Ages.

One of the eye-catchers of the renewed museum is a modern video wall. Maverick ICS engineered the concept and Amptec was responsible for the practical realization of it. Thus, visitors will be surprised by a unique visual presentation on nine 42’ screens.

bonsaidrive Nine Rosendahl bonsaiDRIVEs are at the heart of the multimedia installation. The hard disk recorder can record 4:2:2 PAL in combination with 10 audio channels on standard IDE or SATA hard disks and this without compression. It is possible to synchronize I/O with time code, Sony 9-pin RC, MTC, MMC, video sync, word clock and GPIO. The synchronization possibilities and the unequalled quality render the bonsaiDRIVE the ideal choice for this installation.

Because of the different kinds of media used in the exposition, such as educational films, cool animations and interactives for children, synoptic models and lifelike figurines in plastic, the Gallo-Romeins Museum has become an even more attractive place to get to know something about Tongres, the only Roman city in Flanders.
